Angel of God Prayer (Guardian Angel Prayer)
The Angel of God prayer is a Roman Catholic prayer that most Catholic kids love to pray due to its rhyming couplets.
However, it is not only for children. We should always pray to our guardian angels because they are forever at our sides.
If we think back about the many times that we have been preserved from physical danger, we can see the intercession of our guardian angels, and we honor them.
This prayer is deceptively simple, but it’s rich in meaning if we take the time to mediate on it. God cares so much about us that he assigns an angel at birth to each human, whom he loves dearly.

Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here,
Ever this day (or ever this night), be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
